******Work around solution below problem******

So I'm using word to take a serial of pictures of my text book and convert them to a PDF and then I can read them on my iPad subsequently (keeps me from toting around 5 different 15lb constabulary books). Lately, however, word has decided that it wants my pictures to exist flipped 90 degrees counter-clockwise. It's not always, just sometimes.

These pictures are taken with my phone, a Galaxy S4, at the native resolution for the photographic camera. Whatever suggestions how to either make Give-and-take orient the picture how they were originally taken, or how to rotate all the images at the aforementioned time, or even a better plan to practice what I'm looking for?

Thanks!

Answer:

For anyone in the future looking for the answer, it'south this: MS Discussion is terrible for manipulating pictures. At least I don't know how to rotate multiple images at one time. While I'chiliad not typically a fan of using random third party apps, I just found "PDF Architect 2" which is costless and was able to apace handle my problem. Information technology took a few minutes to become used to. First I had to install the "create module" (also free), then open up all my files, click combine open files, then choose rotate, select all, and pick my orientation. Then simply relieve the PDF. Hazzah! Best of luck to anyone in the hereafter.

Use a regular photo application rather than Word. If they are all coming out rotated, several applications allow you to batch process.

In one case all are rotated every bit needed, so copy/paste into Word.

Too, turn your camera/phone the other way. Many of them 'know' the orientation, and assume you want it different.

Cheers for your reply. The problem is that the images are oriented in the proper direction before importing them into MS Give-and-take. When my telephone turns the pictures landscape orientation, I utilize the windows photograph viewer to rotate them to the right, but MS Discussion seems to have a mind of its own. Like it'due south ignoring the orientation data and rotating them all counter-clockwise. If I employ another program, I would similar to be able to make PDFs direct from that.
